Inclusive Learning Event – Friday 7th December

On Friday 7th December, the Active Learning Network will be hosting an event on Inclusive Learning, which may be of particular interest to doctoral researchers who teach.

The Active Learning Network is a network of people from around the world who share an interest in Active Learning, defined as:

In active learning, rather than the teacher ‘transmitting’ knowledge through lectures or reading, learners engage in a series of activities which require them to produce observable evidence of their learning. Where possible, these individual, pair and group tasks should aim to develop higher order thinking skills, emotional connection with content and tactile or physical engagement with the environment.”

-Tab Betts, Learning Technologist, University of Sussex

Active Learning Network Events are focused on bringing together individuals interested in all things related to active learning to share good practice, discuss and develop innovative pedagogy.
