Sussex Research Hive Seminars

The Library is now promoting the Sussex Research Hive Seminar series. These lunchtime events, funded by SAGE, are hosted by the Library and open to everyone engaged in, or supporting, the research process at Sussex. Returning for the ninth year, this popular series brings together the Sussex research community to discuss current issues in research.

This year, three of the seminars will focus on ideas of openness: open publications and alternative approaches to sharing research, open and transparent methods that enable the reproducibility of research, and the opportunities for open discussion and engagement made possible by social media. There will also be sessions exploring how universities can develop strong, inclusive research environments, and the perceived quality /quantity dichotomy facing researchers unsure of their publication strategy.

The seminars include a sandwich lunch, and there will be opportunities to discuss issues with researchers from across the university.
